Consult and train in research-based instructional practices. Work with school districts, teams, and consortia groups to improve teacher and school practices.

Developed online units for PBS and ABC and worked on a project for Disney to bring standards based activities into a program for students in grades 4-6.Co-authored For the Love of Words: Vocabulary Instruction that Works, Teaching Reading in Social Studies, Blackline Masters for Teaching Reading in the Content Areas, Classroom Instruction that Works Teacher Manual and Participant Manual, and the Pathfinder Project.

Received the Governor’s Award from the state of Indiana for work with low performing schools.

Co-Directed and established a framework for the Sheldon Institute, a summer enrichment program at the State University of Oswego. Interviewed and hired teachers, graduate and undergraduate students. Coordinated courses, conducted faculty and parent sessions.

Established and implemented an elementary enrichment program, Reaching to Expand All Children’s Horizons, R.E.A.C.H.  Worked with teachers K-6 to design curriculum and write units.
