Ms. Doty, an international trainer and author, is a consultant for Marzano and Associates. (www.marzanoandassociates.com) She has nearly 20 years of experience as an educator in New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida, and Texas. She is co-author of several works including:

She is also author of a new book focused on reading skills and based on the Pathfinder Project. The book, Pathfinder: Reading for Meaning, Purpose, and Inspiration can be seen on the Pathfinder USA website at www.PathfinderUSA.com.
Ms. Doty worked with the Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning Lab (McREL) in Aurora, Colorado for 5 ½ years where she was a Principal Consultant. She consults with school districts to assist them in the process of aligning standards and benchmarks, developing curriculum units, and training educators in Dimensions of Learning, Classroom Instruction That Works, Vocabulary Instruction that Works, Teaching Reading in the Content Areas, What Works in Schools, Classroom Assessment and Grading that Work, The Art and Science of Teaching, and The Pathfinder Project.
Additionally, Ms. Doty has worked on educational projects with Disney, ABC and PBS. She also received a commendation from the Governor of Indiana for her work with educators in the Indiana TOPHAT Consortia.
Ms. Doty earned her C.A.S. degree in Educational Administration from the State University at Oswego, her M.S. in Gifted Education from the State University at Plattsburgh, and her B.S. in Elementary Education from Keuka College.
